Key Benefits of a Tech Support Provider

Not only are tech solutions costly in terms of hardware and software, but they’re also pricey when they don’t function properly. Consider how much goes into ensuring that your information technology delivers the results you need to keep your Arkansas company going:

1

Time and Money – The cost of wasted time and money bumps up the cost of technology if regular maintenance, repairs, and upgrades are not prioritized or scheduled.

2

Payroll Dollars – countless costs are incurred when a company’s employees aren’t able to do their job if they’re constantly battling with malfunctioning IT.

3

Client Relations – efforts put towards managing endless technology concerns take away from the opportunities to “close a new deal”, increase sales, or accomplish important business operations.

A technical support provider increases company efficiency by:

  • Reducing time spent on trying to find the technical problems plaguing your system.
  • Ensuring that all of your systems are always up-to-date with the latest software updates.
  • Increasing productivity by faster-running computers
  • Providing quality advice from an experienced IT consultant
  • Establishing your business as a reliable authority in your niche

Computer Troubleshooting Techniques

We are often asked similar computer support questions a lot of the time. Some computer problems can be as easy a fix as shutting down your computer and turning it on again. We have, therefore, compiled a list of common questions and possible solutions to aid you in solving some of your own computer issues. If your technical problems aren’t related to the questions below, you can call us and describe your issues or visit our office.

Can a virus damage my computer hardware?

No. Viruses are software code intended to spread to and from other computers, corrupt computer files, delete files, as well as cause other problems with the data on the machine.

If your printer, video card, sound card, or other hardware device is malfunctioning, you can be assured that it’s not because you have a virus. If you would like assistance with your malfunctioning devices, call our office at 501-588-2424.

I think my computer has a virus but how can I know for certain?

If you are experiencing any of the following computer issues, your pc may be infected with a virus:

  • Slow computer performance (taking a long time to start up or open programs)
  • Problems restarting or shutting down
  • Missing files
  • Frequent system crashes and/or error messages
  • Unexpected pop-up windows
  • New applications (toolbars, etc.) that appear without your having downloaded them
  • Overworked hard drive (i.e. when you’re not doing much of anything and the fan makes noises and appears to be whirring and working hard.)
  • Autonomously sent emails from your accounts
  • Browser lag or redirects
  • Malfunctioning antivirus programs or firewalls

Contact us today if you believe you have a virus and our network security team will analyze your device(s), isolate the virus, and safely remove it so you can get back to what you were doing.

What do I do if my hard disk stops working?

As with most computer errors, shutting down and restarting your computer is a good first step. This will allow you to rule out whether or not you have a faulty hard disk. If the disk has severe damage, your computer will most likely fail to restart properly. If this is the case then contact BizTek Connection and they will provide a solution.

If I format or erase my hard drive, will it remove a virus?

If your computer is infected with a virus, formatting or erasing the hard disk drive and restarting will almost always get rid of any sort of malware.

However, if the backups include the virus, other media or drives connected to the machine have a virus, or your computer is linked to another computer on a network with a virus, it can become re-infected if not properly protected.

Our security solutions will ensure that your network is protected from threats as well as remove any that are currently plaguing your machines.

I get a 'no signal input' message on my monitor, what do I do?

First, double-check that the monitor is properly connected to both the back of the monitor and to the computer. If everything appears to be in working order, make sure there isn’t a loose cable by unplugging any cables that can be unplugged from the rear of the monitor (usually only the data cable cannot be unplugged).

Next, remove the data cable from the back of the computer and connect it again. When reconnecting the cable, be sure it is attached tightly. Most computers feature plastic screw ends that can be screwed into place to keep the connection secure.

My computer crashed. What do I do?

There are several reasons why a computer may suddenly become unusable or “freeze.” Most of the time, there isn’t much we can do about it; some operating systems are very complex and users can occasionally encounter difficulties even when executing basic activities.

When your computer no longer responds to keyboard commands, your best bet is to restart the computer. If this still doesn’t fix the problem or your computer doesn’t respond, feel free to bring your pc in to our office location and one of our technicians will take a look at it.

To the entire BizTek crew… I do so appreciate the assistance with my malware problems. I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to protecting my devices from attackers and felt that my computer was fairly well protected. However, I got hit and I felt seriously assaulted. Your support crew jumped on the problem and had me back in the saddle again in just a short time. Thanks for all your help.
