Have you received any Malware lately? Are you sure? It seems that with each passing day we are faced with new threats. Gilda Radner used to play a character called Roseanne Rosannadanna that used to say “It just goes to show ya, if it ain’t one thing, it’s another’. It seems that there are a never-ending flow of creativity as it applies to screwing with our computers and the productivity that we hope to gain from them. And this installment doesn’t fall short in bringing you another one of which you should be aware.
There seems to be massive wave of malicious e-mails claiming to be an update for Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA). The recipient receives a message leading to a site to apply mailbox settings which were supposedly changed due to a “security upgrade.” The especially dangerous thing about these messages is that they are very deceiving. The messages and attack pages are personalized for the To: email address to imply the message is being sent from tech support of the domain. For example, if your company is acmebbrick.com, the e-mail would appear to be coming from the support department or administration of acmebrick.com. The URL in the email looks like it leads to the company’s own Outlook system.

If you receive one of these e-mails, delete it immediately.
